Art…
Art to me is like tradition – existing since time
immemorial, but gradually as it moulds itself
according to individual meaning, it emerges in newer
forms from deep within one’s soul. The pivot of my art
revolves around humans, who are a part of me,
contributing to my feelings. And each time I sit down
to interpret my feelings on any surface, the
characteristic of humanism etches out with all my
strength and sincerity. Although my characters appear
rather imprecise superficially, but they are in fact
very real, true to the emotions responsible to
materialize them.
My canvases are rendered with an uncomplicated use of
earthy yellow tones and bold nude forms. My
straightforward portrayal of an almost nude male poses
a challenge to the marginalization of freedom in
society.
Me…
Time moved on, minutes turning into hours
and hours into days, and unlike a lot of people, my
will became stronger and stronger. Then dawned the day
when I decided to take control of my destiny and make
things happen for myself. “God punishes those who do
not make use of the talents. He blessed each one with”– keeping this in my heart, I started with humble
beginnings.
Years have metamorphosed and what began as hands on
self-training in line drawing, shading, mixing colors,
compositions and conceptualizations, eventually turned
into a fully developed style of my own.
It took me a decade to establish this style and as an
artist, endeavor to place myself in a respectable
position in the society. |
